This week we have Vermont and the group in discussion are World Learning Inc, Vermont Law School Inc, and Vermont Public Radio. Some questions we have for these organizations are:
World Learning Inc:
Why did you take out a two PPP loan for a total of $6.88M when the organization has over $54M net assets? $7M jump in assets since getting the first PPP loan for $6M
The $10M of government funding is on top of the 2 ppp loans for $6.88M?
Can you give more details on 24e all other expenses for $480k?
Tell us more about your other companies in Schedule R?
Vermont Law School Inc:
Why did you take out a PPP loan for a total of $2.3M when the organization has over $23M net assets?
The $2M of government funding is on top of the ppp loan for $2.3M?
Can you give more details on 24e all other expenses for $1.3M?
Tell us more about VLS Campus Holdings?
Vermont Public Radio:
Why did you take out a PPP loan for a total of $960k when the organization has over $30M net assets?
Tell us more about 24a Programming Acquisition fees for $1.1M?
Why didn’t you sell some of $12M in publicly traded securities instead of asking for a PPP loan?
We reached out to World Learning Inc, Vermont Law School Inc, and Vermont Public Radio in order to ask them about these questions we came across, but they never responded for comment.
In conclusion, World Learning Inc, Vermont Law School Inc, and Vermont Public Radio should give the money back just like Fortune 500 companies did, but with a twist. Half going back to the government and the other half going back to Building Blocks for Kids. KeyBank National Association, TD Bank, National Association, and Community Bank, National Association can give back any revenue made (penalty should double that amount) for creating this loan. Not sure what the government will do with their half, yet BBFK knows exactly what we will do with our portion.
Building Blocks for Kids would get a total amount of $5,500,000. Here is how that breakdown of that money will look like:
$10,000 towards our website.
$5,490,000 for 183 classrooms in Vermont
Helping 183 teachers, over 5,000 students with financial literacy and career discovery education for a full year. To learn more about the BBFK: MORE Program visit: https://bbfkids.org/
