BBFK: Nonprofit PPP Loans Watchdogs MT

This week we have Montana and the group in discussion is Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Some questions we have for this organization are:

  1. Why did you take out 2 PPP loans totaling $4.4 million when the organization has over $100 million net assets?

  2. Why do you have a pension plan?

  3. Why is your office expenses $8.2 million?

  4. Can you tell us more about the Land Protection for $20,569,116? Nothing in Schedule O??

  5. Why have you spent over $53 million on lobbying and millions more on lobbying nontaxable/grassroots?

We reached out to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation in order to ask them about these alarming points we came across but  they never responded for a comment.

In conclusion, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation should give the money back just like Fortune 500 companies did, but with a twist. Half going back to the government and the other half going back to Building Blocks for Kids. First Interstate Bank can give back any revenue made (penalty should double that amount) for creating this loan. Not sure what the government will do with their half, yet BBFK knows exactly what we will do with our portion.

Building Blocks for Kids would get a total amount of $2,200,000. Here is how that breakdown of that money will look like:

  • $10,000 towards our website.

  • $2,190,000 for 73 classrooms in Montana

    • Helping 73 teachers, over 2,000 students with financial literacy and career discovery education for a full year. To learn more about the BBFK: MORE Program visit: https://bbfkids.org/
