This week we have Delaware and the group in question this week is Boys and Girls Clubs of Delaware Inc. Some questions we have for them are:
Why did you take out a PPP loan for $2.27 million when the organization has over $28.5 million?
Did you really need another $2 million from the government when you already received over $15 million dollars during the last 3 years?
How do you make an extra $5 million from the prior year, but your grants go down by $30,000?
Why didn’t you sell your publicly traded securities of $4.6 million if you needed money to stay alive?
We reached out to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Delaware Inc in order to ask them about these alarming points we came across but they never responded for comment.
In conclusion, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Delaware Inc, should give the money back just like Fortune 500 companies did, but with a twist. Half going back to the government and the other half going back to Building Blocks for Kids. Wilmington Savings Fund Society, FSB can give back any revenue made (penalty should double that amount) for creating this loan. Not sure what the government will do with their half, yet BBFK knows exactly what we will do with our portion.
Building Blocks for Kids would get a total amount of $1,135,000. Here is how that breakdown of that money will look like:
$25,000 towards our website.
$1,110,000 for 37 classrooms in Delaware
